Hawaiian recording artist Henry Kapono keeps a lot of different irons in the fire. Not only does he have three decades as a performer behind him, but he is also a songwriter, an actor, the proprietor of an island nightclub, an author who has published an enchanting and award-winning children's book, and a recording artist who has worked as part of a duo and as a solo act. He has taken home a number of Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year. The awards are the Hawaiian equivalent of the Grammys.
