Thanks so much to Cam and Dennis for coming in and bring an EXCLUSIVE new beer. It's not even out yet. Oak Aged Falling Bock, much like their original Falling Bock, but aged in Oak Barrels. Hence the name.
You may be thinking... "Hmmm. Isn't that what wine does?" Well, well, well. Aging isn't just for wine and liquor anymore. More and more breweries are trying it out with beer and coming out with EXCELLENT results.
This beer is a perfect example of a simple German brew. But if you're sitting there thinking, "Hmmm, Heineken, or Budweiser. Ok, cool!" Um, no. Although this is very easy on the palatte, there are definitely some suble vanilla notes and complexites that you won't normally get from a German ale, due to the oak aging. Be ready for some serious flavor, and for that, I give Franconia serious props. Also, they are kicking off Dallas Beer Week. Get more details at dallasbeerweek.com
