So, Miller/Coors is trying their hand at craft beer. Good for them! For those of you who think one of the big 3 trying to get into the craft beer market is a bit of an oxymoron, I get it, but hey(!) this is what's popular now. And to be honest, they're not going too far outside their comfort zone with this beer. So, in my opinion, it's a good start.
The one difference of opinion Chad and I had about this beer was the 'lager issue.' Chad's not a lager guy. He's also not an amber guy. I actually like both, so going in, I was feeling pretty good about this one.
Chad pretty much thought this beer was just "ok" or "meh." But I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say if you prefer a pilsner, or drinking a Miller, a Heineken or the like, this will be a simple twist that you can add to your repertoire of beers. It adds a subtle hint of natural woody flavor and a simple sweet aroma that can help shake up your normal routine. I recommend this for anyone who's just looking to get out of a beer rut. This will do it!
And now, the scores:
Vydra 6.5
Chad 5
