For those of you not old enough to remember; this is Round Two for me and KDGE. I was an integral part of the early 90s EDGE when the frequency resided at 94.5. Most remember my alter-ego "Chef K", host of the
Flashback Cafe. Then on Saturday nights I'd break out the glow-sticks and the turntables (remember those?) and worship at the altar of Electronic Dance Music with
Edgeclub 94.
From my personal stash, here's some memorable
Old School Edge photos.
Remember this was BEFORE digital cameras!
In the mid to late 90s I spent a few years doing radio in LA - "techno summer camp" I like to call it. It was a blast but it didn't last. I returned to DFW in 1998 and it only took a decade to finally get back where I belong; ON THE EDGE!
When I'm not on The Edge, these days you can usually find me at
DALLAS STARS games. I'm the Music Director and Game Host for the team, which means on game nights at the AAC I'm the one picking the tunes and making announcements. I also produce a
weekly podcast for the Stars called
Crash The Net. Talk about the dream gig! After being a Season Ticket Holder for a decade I finally figured out a way for the team to pay ME to go to games, and they bought it!
