Apparently it's cover week on my blog...have I told you how much I love these dudes?
Well this is kinda cool.
This man is a hero, and my friends The Gregory Brothers have imortalized him in song.
The fourth annual Homegrown Fest is happening in beautiful Downtown Dallas, America this Saturday. Pretty stacked lineup of Texas talent: Divine Fits, Polyphonic Spree, ZHORA, Burning Hotels, Larry g(EE), Datahowler and tons more. Tickets are cheap too.
Food trucks will be in full force. And so will my festival pants.
The entire world seems to be enamored with the new Daft Punk jam, "Get Lucky." And there's a good reason for that: it rules. Last Sunday on The Adventure Club I debuted a cover by this British band (who are awesome) Daughter. And after a bit of searching, there are already a few great covers of this song. I can't remember the last time a song resonated with so many people in such a short amount of time.
And here's another one by George Barnett that's even funkier, if you can believe it.
Are you ready to fall in love? Good. Because this is the first jam of the summer from a dude who goes by Bibio. He's a British producer and self-taught musician and he made your new favorite song.
Let me introduce you to my new favorite internet thing: 80s Don Draper on Twitter. Here are but a few examples of his greatness.

Yes, I got to introduce AWOLnation with the greatness of Flash Gordon at Edgefest 23. Why was Flash Gordon at Edgefest 23? When you're the savior of the universe, you don't need a reason.
