Every once in a while I get asked,
"Why all the Nickelback hate?"
"Did I miss out on the joke?"
"You guys sure are mean to Nickelback, why is that?"
Well, if you don't like Nickelback, you may have your reasons, but I have mine. And they are mine alone, but I think many people will agree that we were duped.
When they first came out, I liked them. And I actually thought they could WRITE a SONG. But then I realized, no, that's not it.... they can WRITE ONE SONG.
And just like that, they made MILLIONS! And for that, I'm angry. I like songwriters. And these guys, at least to me, are hacks.
If you enjoy their music, by all means, OWN IT. WAVE the NICKELBACK flag. Music is subjective and we are all entitled to our opinions.
